So I need new tires all round for my 1986 535i and thus face the age-old painful dilemma: replace the metric wheels or buy yet more TRX tires (assuming I can find them). This thread is probably all played out, but I'd appreciate any advice out there. The car has 180 k miles; I figure I'll keep it for at least two more years (ca. 220k miles). My main goal at this point is to minimize financial pain. Anyone have a cheap wheel/tire set I could buy?
