I didn't like the P7000's either but I haven't noticed a noise problem yet (see my post above). The Sumitomo HTRZ2's I now have on front perform better and are very quiet. Read Tire Rack's reviews. They also show them available in 215/45x17.

I have 215/45-17 7000 Supersports on my 325i and after about 15K miles, they have become terribly noisy. It sounds like nobby truck tires at slow speed, and actually feels like something grinding when slowing to a stop. I got the 7000 Superport as they were the only all-season tires I could find in that size. I had poor results with the same tires in 225/50-16 on my 318ic a few years ago.

I'm about to get another convertible and plan to use the 17" wheels on it. Can someone suggest a tire that is QUIET for once? I was looking at the Bridgestones.

Thanks

Charlie
