BBS RC, 17" * 8" - which size & tire ??? (archive)

Hi,

Can anyone give a good recommendation for a tire for this rims. The car is a 330xiA -01, which will arrive in a couple of days...

I would like to have a very silent tire... And yet a nice one. I have always loved the Michelin MXX - but this time I'm looking for a very comfortable tire, with low noise.

I guess that 235/45-17 (202.09 in diameter) is close to the standard size 205/50-17 (200.05), and I know BMW recommends 225/45-17 (199.27).

Will 235/45-17 fit my car ???
