I bought this 540iA with Pirellis on it. They were fairly new, but have worn to the point of replacement in only 20,000 miles. I take 225/60/R15. Someone told me that the Pirellis SP400o that are on there weren't meant for the weight of that car and that was why they wore out so fast. True? What is the brand to buy? Need to move soon.

I am not sure what tire you have on the car becaus Pirelli does not make a SP4000. If you got 20,000 miles on a summer performance tire that acually is not bad. If you are looking for longer wear I would recommend the Dunlop Sport 5000. It has a 340 treadware rating with excellent wet and dry handling. The tire also has as good a ride quality of any of the tires we have tested. If I can help give me a call direct at 800-428-8355-364
Thank you

Jim

Thanks Jim. I have been reading about those. Sound good. Sorry on the Pirellis. It was the P4000 model.
