E34 535i Dedicated Snow Tires? (archive)

What would you recommend as a dedicated snow tire for a relatively stock E34 535i with 15" rims? Its for use in Virginia so constant snow is not a problem, however it will take a week long Christmas trip to Northwest NJ with the full family.
