Right now, I have 17x8 BBS wheels with an offset of 38mm and 15mm or 18mm spacers whichever came with them from BBS.
I have 225/40-17 tires and I had to remove the front panels in the wheel arch to stop rubbing.
I have also seen many recommendations for 235/40-17 tires or even 245s but with the 225s rubbing, I don't know how people run the larger ones unless they remove all the fender lining.
So, questions:
1. Is this the correct offset for this car? 20-23mm with 8" wide wheels? I wonder because only the outsides of the tires rub and there seems to be plenty of clearance for the suspension and also for the insides of the tires.
2. What 17" tires sizes are recommended?
Thanks,
Jon
