The w and z rating are the same actually. Any Z rated tire is specified to go at least 150mph and above. In many cases this really means 151 mph. The w rated tire is the same as a z rated tire, but the manufacturer is bragging that it can be used up to 168 mph. Thus, all w rated tires are z rated as well. Hope that clears it up for you.
