The 235-40-17 has a total diameter of 24.40
The 245-40-17 " " 24.71
The 255-40-17 " " 24.97

You probably want to keep front and rear as close as possible in diameter.

You will limited by your rim width and clearance of fenders.

The 235-40-17 has really really little sidewall and almost no rim protection.

If I were to run 235-40-17 in the front what would be the best tire for the rear on OEM 17s 7spoke?? Can I go wider? I really want to!!!

Feel free to e-mail me !!!
