Hi Everyone,

Need to replace the 205/60-15 MXV4 original equip tires on my 97 328 pretty soon. Was planning to get new MXV4's, but am now looking at the MXV4 plus, and the pilot XGT-H4.

Would like some comparative info.. if possible information on differences in materials used, type of construction etc - i.e. are these all nearly equivalent tires or are there significant differences such as one versus two nylon belts, stronger sidewall - whatever.

1. Which is the better performance tire, both wet and dry. My main driving is long "high speed" trips across California, Nevada and Arizona in the summer heat - mostly dry, and very hot, but it rains in the winter and snows in the Sierras.

2. Assumed the Pilot's were the "performance" tire, but they're actually cheaper - right? How 'cum? Need more info on these tires, as I cannot find test results.

3. What's the difference between the MXV4 and the MXV4 Plus? I see the TireRack review saying it's "better in every way" - would like more details.

4. Any noticeable difference in ride, or road noise (how do they take the usual freeway bumps) It's nice when the passengers all sleep 'cause it's so smoooth.

Thanks much for the help

Frank
