I've gotten into driving schools in a big way this year, and am planning on joining the Solo 1 circuit next year (along with even more track days). To get competitive, I want to pick up some rims and R compound tires for the track. The car currently has the Sport package 225/50-16's. I'm thinking of 225/45-17 or 235/40-17 tires on appropriately sized rims. Any recommendations on tire manufacturers? Anyone have experience with the wider 235 tires on the track? Do they noticably affect the car's handling?
