Cold is the way to go! Tell your X5 buddies that even the tire itself gives max. inflation pressure COLD. Read it on the sidewall of every tire sold in the U.S.

There is a dispute on the X5 board about whether tire pressure should be checked when the tires are cold or warm. I think the answer is cold, but we need an expert to weigh in here. Could you post your answer on that board?

Always check the air pressure cold. First thing in the morning if at all possible before the sun heats up the tires.
