Tirerack: Spare tire different size than Snows. (archive)

My summer tires are 225/50 WR16, but my snow tires are 195/65 QR15 (Blizzak WS-50), thus my spare tire is a different size than the snows. What if I got a flat snow tire, could I use the 225/50 WR16 spare? Thanks in advance.
