1998 540i Replacement Tires (archive)

What replacement tire do you recommend for my 1998 540i?? have completed 33K miles, already need replacement for the Munich factory installed Continentals.

My driving:
* mostly city.
* I like to corner aggressively, eg. take freeway entrances and exit ramps aggressively.
* I do not mind paying a premium for handling, altho it would be nice to not have to replave every 35K miles.
* I live in Sacramento California, and do about 6-8 ski day trips to Sierra ski slopes each season. Need to feel safe in snow & ice conditions.

Tires I'm considering:
* Same Continental.
* Michelin MXV4+
* Michelin XGT H4

Appreciate any advice
