if you are talking about stock E36 M3 wheels there should not be issues.

if you are talking about M coupe/roadster wheels then you have a problem. the rear wheels on the M coupe/roadster are unique in that they fit only the M coupe/roadster due to the offset being 8mm vs. the 38 or 41mm offset of normal E36 wheels.
