Anyone out driving with cables on z rated tires (size 245 and up) in the snow/ice conditions.

Mark

The speed rating has nothing to do with how they handle in the ice and snow. The speed rating is the internal construction of the tire. There are a few all season Z speed rated tires that will get you by for the winter if you don't live in the snow belt. Otherwise you would need chains to make them work. A true snow tire will be at least 50 percent better than the best all season tire in the snow. If I can help let me know. Thank you
