winter tire advice for 2000 323i (archive)

Hi. I have a 2000 4-door 323 with 195/16/15 tires and I want to get snow tires on steel rims. Is there any reason why I should not go with 205/65/16 - since these are lmost the same diameter (24.98 vs. 24.88 in)? Also, if anyone could recommend a particular tire I would really appreciate it. i thought the 16" would look nice and they are easier for me to find in NJ at a reasonable price than 19/65/15 seem to be. THANKS!!
