Pilot Sports or G-Force T/A KDs? (archive)

Am totally devastated to find that MXX3's are no longer available for my 225/45 & 245/40 ZR17 Z3. (How many loyal customers is Michelin pissing off - you gotta wonder???)

So what do I replace with? Michelin claims their Pilot Sports are now their premium max-performance tire, but now "improved" with less noise, vibration & better rain performance. I don't give a flying blankety blank for such supposed "improvements" if they come at *any* cost to grip, cornering, & feedback - which seems to be the case based on the Tirerack's charts. :-( Plus, I'm ticked at Michelin for discontinuing a great tire (and leaving me with a set of fronts that have only 5K miles on them!!!!!). So I'm itching to take my business elsewhere.

Tirerack's charts seem to show that the G-Forces pretty closely mirror the MXX3's good characteristics, but with a bit more noise.

Any impressions from people who used to have MXX3s about how Pilot Sports or G-Force T/A KDs compare???

Thanks for any help.
