I'm thinking of getting some winter tires for my 323Ci and having them mounted on reconditioned alloys. I think they'd probably look better and perform better than steels, but be a lot cheaper than new alloys.Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
Also I was thinking of getting Michelins (I've always had good luck with this brand). Anyone have any opinions on the performance differences between the Arctic an Pilot Alpins? I live in the northeast U.S. and most of the time the roads do not have snow so I'd like to have good dry road performance and reasonable longevity too. Since I've got the Ci, it has the equivalent of the sedan sport suspension, but with 16" rims.
