Stock 14x6 wheel for an E30 has a 35mm offset.
30mm may work with a 7" wheel, but your tire size may be limited to 205's

I know that 28mm works for a 7" wheel and
and that 25mm works for a 7.5" wheel, (but that's a tight fit on the later, 23mm would be better)

I'm guessing that 18mm is good for an 8" rim.

What is the max offset for a 7", 7.5", and 8" wide wheel on my 89 325iS. Stock is 20MM i think, is up to 30mm ok with a 7" wide wheel
