Durability of 17 inch wheelsfrom tirerack (archive)

I have bent 3 out of 4 of my ATP type 5 (17 inch) wheels. I have no problems with 16 inch wheels(stock BMW and Mile Miglias MM2) (328i+Dinan stage II suspension). But for the summer I want to get 17 inch wheels again. I'm considering Breyton Inspiriation and Breyton softline. The potholes in Chicago are pretty bad. Does anybody have any suggestions how strong they are. Are they forged or cast? Can sombody quicly describe which method produces stronger wheel? Are BMW sport packgage wheels cast or forged?
