It would not be anything noticeable. Here is why. The weight of an inch of diameter mass added to the wheel will add weight, but it should not be noticeable. However, I would not suggest riding like this long term. Get the wheel replaced and switch it whenever possible. I am thinking along a common sense path of diameters and wheel widths, but there are other factors that set in, such as the balancing of the spare wheel and the tire used on it.

Keep in mind that the weight diff should not matter too much b/c the car is pushing the wheel, not lifting it up. You should be alright on that end. Now as far as putting a 245 on a 7.5, it can be done, but you will have a "buldge" or "flare out" of the tires. I would suggest 235 or lower.

Are you trying to put 7.5 all around?

Dear Mr.Cornrow,

so are you definietely sure nothing will be affected like turning or anything??Also can a 245 fit on a 17x7.5 wheel? Or would i have to get 235/40/17 in the rear and 225/45/17 in the front? Even if the measurements of the diameter and widths of the wheel with thetires are the dsame in the rear, is there is weight difference between thw 8.5 wheel with the 7.5??thanks for all your help sir.
