and buy the best 205/60R-15 you can, (2) buy wheel/tire pkg in 16" (tires 225/50R-16), or (3) the same with a 17" wheel and 225/45R-17 tire.

The 15" option has the advantage of being cheap, but doesn't offer much else. The 16" option, it seems to me, is the ticket -- you'll put more rubber on the road yet the changes are not too drastic. 225/50R-16 is a tire size with an incredible number of choices, too.
