Question is, is it normal to use these spacers? Are they necessary? I think they make the wheels "look cool" since they stick out a bit farther, but I am skeptical because the bolts can't go into the hub as far now....I don't want any wheels to fall off!!
Tirerack did provide new bolts which are slightly longer than stock, but they definately do not go in as far. The new bolts (with spacers and Borbets) only screw about 3 turns into the hub....the stock ones (with stock BBS) screw in AT LEAST 5-6 turns. Should I be worried?
Thanks, Mike

I have the Borbet Type C on a 1991 318IS and they work great. The spacer gives the car the correct offset for the car. The lugs should get enough turns and then torque them down. Jim
