325 Convertible questions (archive)

never had a BMW before and am planning to purchase a 325 convertible. I read about the 2002 changes on this board and had some questions.

1. Anyone know how much change in price there will be over the 2001 models?

2. Are the automatic transmission changes anticipated anything better than the current automatic?

3. what's the actual difference in suspension between the sports package and the non-sports package? All I can get out of the dealer is that it's stiffer. He doesn't have a 325 without the sports susp. for me to drive.

4. If modifications are made to suspension and/or wheels after purchase does it void any part of the warranty? I ask because I saw a BMW with 18 (or maybe 19") wheels and it looked real nice.

5. How's the BMW vinyl interior? The dealer didn't have one I could look at. $1400 for leather seemed a little steep considering it was $1000 for a GMC Suburban I have with lots more sq. ft. of leather. If I don't get the sports package I'm not forced to get leather.
