4 way flashers & turn signals (archive)

My 4.4 X5 is experiencing random electrical problems where the four way flashers come on for no apparent reason. The dash indicators do not show this but the outside lights are flashing. The turn signals do not work when this happens.It typically lasts for about 15 minutes and then all of the sudden everything is fine again. Because of the random nature of the occurances, I can not duplicate it for the dealer and the dealer has no explanation or fix for it. Anyone else?
