I'm curious to know when these stalling X5's went into production. I've ordered one that goes into production next week and I'm hoping this stalling "bug" has been worked out by now. Any inkling -- or word from your dealer -- as to what might be to blame?

How long did it take? Did it work?

Yes I had it done. I took the car in on a Friday and had it back the next Thursday.

I had it scheduled to drop off on a Tuesday a couple of weeks later, but they had done the temporary "fix" on Friday morning. It then stalled 3 times on the way home, so I brought it back and made them find me a loaner that day.

I've had it back for about 10 days, and it runs fine, but given my experience with the problem it is too soon to tell for sure. I have noticed that there is more engine noise at idle now, more of a resonance rather than straight noise from higgher revs.
