Is the plant up to it's steady-state production numbers yet? If not, when will it get there, and what will be the numbers? Also, can we expect the 2/3 3.0, 1/3 4.4 distribution to continue?
Lastly, how has the average customer wait time changed over time?
Thanks. R, Jeff
Jeff:
I can offer you only personal observations as I have no figures to support any conclusions.
From my tour of the Spartanburg plant on September 1 it certainly appears that the X5 line is at full capacity and it is currently running two full shifts. I also believe that the split between the 4.4i and 3.0i production will stay at approximately the current ratio as a function of orders from dealers which are based on demand. I can't speak for the rest of the country but in the Washington, DC area you should be able to get an X5 built to your specs in approximately two months and you should be able to find a few X5's in most dealer stocks.
I hope this answers your questions. If not try me again.
