Just came back from a long weekend in Wisconsin with our 3.0i. We averaged 20mpg at a speed average of 70 - 85 mph. Amazing!

We do not have the sports suspension, and the ride is fine. True, the handling is not a pin sharp as with it, but the ride compromise is to great, especially as we have to deal with crappy IL roads.

The ride with the sports is somewhat like that of the standard 4.4i.

As for utility, we took 3 full size coolers, a large dog crate (36" long x 24" wide x 30" high), 2 suitcases and our 45 pound dog with no problems (back seat down).

If you need to seat 5 people, get something else. If you have smooth roads in general, get the 3.0i sports.
