Funny you should bring that up. For the record, my X5 has about 7K miles (I got it in January) and it still has 4 green bars. I guess it will be the 2-year oil change car for sure.

I won't accept that, however. I also have a '99 740iL. I had 14 months and 13,000 miles on it and it still had 2 green bars. I called the dealer and said I didn't care about the idiot computer. I wanted the oil changed! I quoted the owner's manual that says once a year.

They said fine and changed the oil under the regular maintenance agreement. I know I'm going to have to do the same thing with the X5.
