I am a 2000 M Roadster owner looking at buying the 2001 X5 4.4i. This is a struggle due to the cost and new SUV's hitting the market over the next 12 months. Any views or opinions would be appreciated.

The X5 would certainly be an adjustment. I too am an 00 M-roadster owner and we are adding an X5 to the fleet. I ask myself would I perfer driving the X5 daily with the xtra room and quite and let the wife drive the M? Both have lots to offer, but a roadster is a roadster.
