I tend to agree that it may have little to do with a turn.

But another interesting issue has arrisen. I have had my X5 3.0 for 2 months and 2500 miles and have never had it stall on me. About 2 weeks ago my wife said it stalled once with her traveling very slowly almost at a stop traveling straight A/C on. Today I had my wifes key and the car stalled twice on me (once turning, both times A/C on).... coincidence or not? Could there be a difference in the key settings? I will use my key this afternoon and see what happenes

I've stalled 2 times, & my wife twice. All my stalls were when doing a u-turn or something like that at idle, a/c on.
I'm also REALLY glad to hear about the dealer being able to fix it--wil call East Bay BMW Monday.

this is my theory on the stall issue...if you have the a/c on and are idle in drive you can notice a slight fluctuation in rpm as the fan works. So my theory is that the car stalls because when you press on the brakes the rpm drops really fast and combined with the a/c lowering the rpm by a bit more it results in a stall. So I don't think the stall has anything to do with locked turns. It's just pure coincidence that's all. What do you guys think?
