I've removed the badges from all my BMWs... haven't gotten my X5 yet (@$%#@&$*#@@#) so haven't had a chance to remove it's badge. All the others have been fastened with 2-sided 3M foam tape... as the man said, low heat and patience. If that doesn't work, or you're like me and have no patience, use dental floss to cut the tape and WD40 to remove the remnants. Also worked great before!
