Any advice on how to hookup my star tac cellular through the pre-wiring of the 3.0 '01 X5 would be appreciated. It is a startac 7368 CDMA technology for use in AZ thru the alltel network. Is it simple or are there lots of hoops through which to jump and parts required? Appreciate any advice.

Sorry to say you can not do it! Motorola builds the Startac 7860 to BMW's specs. The only thing the 7860 shares with other Startacs is the power hookup wires. (You can take a 7860 and run it on a regular charger or hands free kit.) The only thing you could do is to have a regular, hands-free installation done with your 7368 and, possibly it can be placed in the BMW phone compartment.

The Merecedes Startac will work with the BMW installation
