I think the only way to know your X5 DME version is to have your dealer hook it up with their diagnostic computer, so no way to know before your X5 arrives. BMW might have the fix in the factory, or might not, but I think this is not a big issue since your dealer can always fix it later. Stalling only happens when AC is on, so I will wait pass this coming winter. And I might go for Dinan performance upgrade(engine/DME and auto trans. re-program) in the future, which might fix it too.
