Try offering your dealer to buy the 18" tires, and give the 17" back as soon as they get the car in, take them off brand new. This way they can use them in the Parts department and it will cut the cost for you. But you really don't want a higher ride without the self-leveling suspension.


Unfortunately, there is a very limited market for "take-off" wheels and tires and thus most dealers don't even want to talk about them as a part of a deal. Another suggestion I would have would be to buy 18" wheels and tires and to trade the 17" tires in to a tire dealer for snow tires. Obviously, this only makes sense if you are in an area of the country where you need snow tires.
