Jim, are you sure the whole seats are "obviously" leather? Aren't just the actual seating areas of the seats leather and the bulk of the seats the vinyl leatherette? I suspect that is what gives the two-tone effect-- the leather inserts appear darker than the leatherette.

Just got my Zymol Treat last week. Ready to condition some of the X5's leather (3.0i premium package). The seats are obviously leather, but I'm wondering what else is. How are people treating the non-leather parts of the X5, such as the dash, etc. Thanks.


Only other leather is the insert sections on the doors (obvious when you look closely)

I treat all the vinyl surfaces (4 years in a 540( with Vinylx by Lexol. Gives a luster but is not shiny and has a good UV protector.

I also use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner for the leather (again not shiny or sticky if properly applied).
