Have a '97 540-6 and an '01 X5 stick. First gear is a waste 90% of the time and the tranny takes some getting used to, but so did my 540 when I first got it. My X5 has the sport/premium pkg and it is really fun on windy 2 line parkways (no trucks)
Several should have the 3.0 with manual transmission configuration by now. Any owners not pleased? I've got a Week 48 build...going 3.0 with stick...should I reconsider my tranny choice?

Plan on going very basic...stick, leatherette, xenons, upgrade stereo, and PDC.

How much handling performance do I lose by not going with Sport Pkg?
