i am going to (one day soon) update my web site with the exact directions, however, suffice it to say:
#1) open the handrest, and remove the deep storage tray with the cassetee or cd holder but simply grabbing the back end (nearest to the hinge for the armrest), and pulling up firmly. this will
pop out.
#2) you will see some wire harnesses, and a big black plastic structure the exact size of the air vent on the rear part of the console. gently pry it up and off of its attachment to the airvent, and remove it...
#3) find the cigarette lighter wires going to the rear console cigarette lighter... this is where i plugged in the high current (5A) positive and negative wires...... the brown is GROUND and the black/red/yellow is POSITIVE ON (all the time).
#4) next we need to find the the IGNITION POS to turn on and off the system.... I have the rear seat heaters, and if you lok carefully (whether or not you have them) you will see two "8 prong or so" connectors ....... identify the BLUE AND WHITE thick striped wire (there are two, one R one L), and that is ignition POS......
#5) I popped out the casette cartridge holder thing (I use only CDs, and this is a stupid option as cassettes have gone the way of 8 tracks), and used that space to locate the control unit for my motorola phone.......
#6) where to bring the wires out...... its not perfect, but looks reasonably well and does not require drilling into plastic..........
gently pop out the leather boot for the parking brake and pull it up over the parking brake. on the left front drivers side is a MOTOROLA ANTENNA harness (unplug that and plug in your motorola antenna and/or adapter there)..... I brought out the antenna cable, microphone plug, speaker cable, and handset cable from around the boot... (secure them away from the handbrake....), and then snapped the boot right back on......
viola.........
pics to come when i get time to photograph....
very easy to do.... you can run the from the handbrake access point underneath the middle portion of the console to just underneath the large bin by wrapping the cables to each other and threading them to your other hand..........
its self explanatory once you pop the boot off and take the storage bin out........
good luck
