I agree, Will. I have DRLs on my Volvo 850 Turbo, and they are great. I have good visibility in all weather and other cars can see me from a greater distance than otherwise. It's also nice not to have to worry about turning the lights on and off at appropriate times. I plan to ask the dealer to activate them when I take delivery.

I left my DRL's off--I still know when to turn on my lights, and the only studies that show DRL's help are from Northern Latitude countries--Canada & Sweden. IMHO,they are counterproductive and hokey looking, and may increase the visibility to a CHP if I'm having an extra good time on the road.

See the way I see it, If a CHP is more likely to pick you out because your visability is increased with DRL, Other drivers should be able to see you better too..... which is good, No?
