Michelin Kit/Winter Tires (archive)

We get lots of snow here, so I investigated winter tires, since the Energy's just don't make it. Decided on 4x4 XPCs, which Michelin recommends for snow. Nokkia has a Swedish magazine test posted where the XPC comes out tops. Really deep treads. I bought two sets, one for the X5 and one for the ML. Had to go up to 18" rims on the X5, down to 16" rims on the ML.

Anyway, Michelin has a giveaway going, and today I got their emergency kit - which has lots of good stuff in it. But with no side nets in the rear of the X5, where do you stow it - its the size of a small suitcase!
