I don't have a copy handy because I'm traveling, but I think the August issue of Roundel had some info about Hudson River Valley roads, and the October issue had a letter discussing the Taconic State north of 84--but beware of the first few miles north--they said there's an uphill that's got foliage and lots of NY State troopers like to hide & wait. As for Connecticut: head north of the Merritt Pkwy from Stamford, Westport, Fairfield. There's lots of rural roads through the watershed, some fun stuff. Take 58 or 59 North, for instance. The weather was excellent here this weekend but my X5 sat in the garage the whole time. I'm looking for an excuse to take it out somewhere but am a little tired of the usual Bear Mountain routine. Does anyone have any interesting ideas????
