the only problem that you will encounter is getting parts. you are lucky if you get the parts in less than a month. my X5 is still in the bodyshop for more than a month because they have to get the parts(from simple parts like winshield wiper blades to axles) from Germany by boat instead of by air mail from SC. why do they have to get the X5 parts from Germany? ask the BMW customer center and you will be totall pissed at their questions.
I've had my X5 for about 8 months now, and I just recently ran into an accident on a bad road in bad conditions in which the x5 hit a tree and crumpled the front about a foot. The engine looks fine, and it seems a lamp and the radiator have to be replaced. Besides that, do bodyshops generally do good work on fixing up new cars? Will it look like new and run just the same? Or does the car drive differently afterwards? Thanks in advance.
