BMW X5 Widescreen "New" Monitors (Navigation System or TV)will be installed on X5s starting in January 2001. If yours go in to production before January 2001, you will have the previous version Monitor.

Please be careful that "January 2001" is not the date that you will pickup your vehicle. If you're going to pick it up in January, that means your vehicle was produced in December or even November.

That's why somepeople chose to wait and ask their dealership to have them sent the vehicle in production in January.

Have heard that 2001 models will have NAV system with a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. If so, can anyone confirm when this will start to occur. Have a 2001 being delivered end of December.
