I agree, I don't think this will be an off road vehicle. Anyway... as off road as the X5. And in my opinion, I think the Cayenne looks like an Isuzu creation.

I haven't seen the Cayenne but I did see the new VW Colorado (supposed sister vehicle) and it looks sharp! It is supposed to be more truck-like in off road (true 4WD with low range not AWD) but luxury at a multiple of levels up to a 12 cyl engine! It looked pretty impressive from what the article stated. I wouldn't do a first year VW though.
