For those of you who like to wait, wait and wait for the new stuff to come out...Unfortunately you will have to wait forever. Because each year new stuff comes out. If you wait until 2002, then you might wanna wait until 2003 because other new stuff will come out. And it goes on and on like this. Maybe you should wait six years for the X5 to settle down, I am sure all the small bugs/problems will be taken care of and you will also get lots of new stuff compared to the year 2000 X5. So why not waiting? Wait six years and get a 2006 X5. And be happy! But don't be sad when BMW produces the second generation X5 with compeletely new body! Now yours become old again.
Just like the computers, every year new stuff comes out. I would definetely say that since X5 is brand new and it will stay this way for at least 6-7 years, this is the perfect time to buy it! Buy it now and enjoy it until 2006 or 07. Untill that time your vehicle will be very valuable. You will not need to change it for at least 6 years.
Buy your vehicle now and start to enjoy now. It is better for you, trust me. If you keep oon waiting for the new stuff, you will never be able to satisfy yourself because 2002 will NOT be the end of new stuff....
Plus if you love the new head lights go to your BMW dealer, pay the extra and they will install it for you. As long as you have enought money, they can even have the new grill installed for you.
:-)
I have a curiosity...the E39 just received the new headlights and kidney grill in 2001...since the X5 is based on the E39 platform...any chance for the X5 to get the same revisions in perhaps the 2002 model year?
Thanks in advance to all replies.
