and get a quality aftermarket car audio install. It is absolutely not necessary to *upgrade* to a premium system that is mediocre at best. Here is what I would do....Buy a quality Head unit(Nackamichi, Eclipse), a good 4 channel external amp (PPI, Mcintosh, Zappco), new kick panel speakers if have you the budget (Focal, MB Quart, A/D/S) and to complete your system get a custom fiberglass enclosure molded in the hatch that takes up no space (Focal, Eclipse, IDQ)
At the very least add a quality 12 inch sub to your system and it will do more for the sound quality than any DSP feature could ever do.
