I did manage to access the service menus. (I have the navigation system with premium sound).

One of the menu within the service menu deals with GPS info and there is a lot of information that I wish BMW would have put on their main screen. I would have loved to see:

1. Ground Speed.
2. Brightness settings for the LCD screen. (WHY would they put this setting in the service menu beats me)
3. Number of satellites the GPS could *see*
4. Date and UTC time.
5. Altitude (though I wouldn't be flying with this thing) :)

Please note that all these options ARE viewable via the service menus.

On simple calculation and conversion I found out that the speedo is accurate. The GPS reports in meters/seconds however.

Please give us a software revision by putting these infos on the main on board computer screen. :(

Anyone from BMW reading this?

Regards,

Mickey
