I have a 4.4 w/sports package and comfort seats. I could not be happier. Although I think that you would probably be happy with either the comfort seats or the sport seats, if you have the extra cash and you want more adjustment options, I would go with the comfort seats. I had sport seats in my '97 328is and I really liked them. The only adjustment they had that the comfort seats do not have is the thigh adjustment, which I never (not even once) used (and I am a little over 6'1"). Other people on this board have been concerned that the comfort seats do not provide as much lateral support as the sport seats. Although this may be true, I have put my X5 through some great hairpin curves and have not felt the comfort seats to be deficient.

Basically, you have two good choices, sport and comfort, and you cannot go wrong.
