I posted the original comment on this. The German brochure says that Servotronic will be available in 4Q 2000, I think for the 4.4.

All the X's have engine speed-sensitive P.S., but Servotronic is vehicle speed-sensitive. I think its on the 540i's now, and it's on the M5's.

There are several options and configurations that are market-specific. For instance, Canada can order running boards as a factory install, and the US only gets them as a dealer installation. I haven't asked about US availability of Servotronic, since I already have an X5, & won't buy another vehicle for a few years--probably something like a 330xi next time.

If you really NEED to know, perhaps Fred Meloan can help. I know that other dealers also read this board--either thay can contribute, or...Fred gets all the glory.

I saw a post about this, but I'm still unable to locate it as an option. Does anyone have any expeirence with this? Has anyone used this?
