Can you recomend me one? I would like it to fit nicely instead of having it mounted with a stand. I heard that the standard radio is linked to the cars computer somehow. Either way any input would be great. thanks.

The BMW GPS is badly lacking functions and details in maps. The BMW system has no easily available ground speed, elevation or heading readouts. They are there, but well hidden and in meters per second for speed and meters for elevation. To reach them is tedious. Also, the BMW system has very little road data. Once you get off any main drag, the voice says "You are leaving the digitized grid" and all the display shows is the icon of where you are - no roads. A very unsatisfactory system. There are systems out there which are permanently mountable. Check http://www.gnetcanada.com/ its a good starting point.
